Residential Estimator/Purchasing Manager Position

Otero Signature Homes is a growing high-end custom home builder focused exclusively on residential renovations and new homes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an awesome company and supportive team! We're looking for an experienced Residential Estimator/Purchasing Manager to join our team who has 3+ years of experience. The ability to be organized, communicate effectively, and multi-task are essential to this role.

Perks of working as a Residential Estimator/Purchasing Manager:

401k up to 4% match, 75% of Health Insurance premium paid by employer, PTO, substantial performance-based Company Bonus

Pay: $75,000 plus bonuses - negotiable based on experience 

Typical day in the life as a Residential Estimator/Purchasing Manager:

  • Calculate quantities and costs of construction items for estimating of new home and renovation projects.
  • Development and research of new trade partners and vendors
  • Research material, labor, and equipment pricing for cost estimating.
  • Enter, calculate and research data into computer utilizing specific cost estimating software programs.
  • Assist in the scope of work of multiple trades to ensure nothing is missed for the project team.
  • Assist field team in estimating substantial change orders

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience estimating commercial and or residential construction projects.
  • Familiar with current residential pricing/costs and cost coding 
  • Must be experienced in quantity take-offs.
  • Must have the ability to lead a project estimate.
  • Must have the ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
  • Computer skills required – Microsoft Project, MC2, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Bluebeam or equal, Chief Architect, Buildertrend, etc.
  •  Knowledge of the Cleveland market is required.
