Residential Architect Position

We're looking for a 3-D/Chief Architect Designer or equal to join our team who has 5+ years of experience with custom home plans and managing plan options for site-specific build sets. The successful candidate will also be involved with many remodeling and renovation projects from the ground up; from field measures to construction documents. Applicant will be working directly with the owners and design department to develop designs for the owners/sales to present to the client.  The ability to be organized, communicate effectively, and multi-task are essential to this role.

Salary Range $75,000 - negotiable based on experience

Responsibilities Include:

  • Production of plans for single-family homes and remodeling projects
  • Communicate with clients, engineering consultants, builders, and subcontractors to expedite the completion of drawings 
  • Assist in measuring clients' homes and resolving field questions in a timely manner when identified. 

Qualifications 

  • Thorough knowledge of residential construction techniques, details, and structural layout. 
  • Experience detailing house plans using 3-D software. Otero Signature Homes exclusively uses Chief Architect and the candidate will be required to become proficient
  • Proven ability to coordinate with team members, as well as, consultants to achieve efficiency goals. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills + detail-oriented.
